Marmox insulation board

The Marmox Insulation board is made of extruded polystyrene, reinforced and covered on both sides with a fibreglass mesh embedded into a thin cement polymer mortar. It is installed using a flexible tile adhesive. The closed cell structure of XPS foam is water-resistant with good insulation properties.

Marmox boards come with a 20-year warranty from the date of purchase. Marmox New Zealand warrants that Marmox products are free from defect caused by faulty manufacture. As we do not have knowledge of site conditions or execution of fixing the boards, we accept no liability for damage which may arise as a result of installation. It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine whether Marmox products are suitable for their specific need or not.

Marmox shower base

The Marmox Ready-to-tile over waterproof shower base is a floor level panel that can be cut to fit the shower area. It is preformed with appropriate falls and made of extruded polystyrene reinforced and covered on both sides with a fibreglass mesh embedded into a thin cement polymer mortar. It is placed directly onto a concrete or wooden floor or it can be recessed.

The warranty for the Marmox Shower trays is dependent on the waterproofing used and will be valid for the duration of the waterproofing warranty issued. We recommend that you use any BRANZ appraised waterproofing system and it should be applied by a registered waterproofing installer.

Marmox shower niche

The Marmox Shower Niche comprises of a core of XPS (extruded polystyrene) coated on either side with a thin but robust layer of fibreglass reinforced polymer concrete. It is water resistant and can be used to form a recess for toiletries within showers and other wet areas.

The warranty for the Marmox Shower Niche is dependent on the waterproofing used by others and will be valid for the duration of the waterproofing warranty -PS3.
